Some of the posts I share here therefore will be about tips and great products I find which have helped me with the change. (This is not a recommendation that you should go gluten/dairy free and if you do always take medical advice).
Ok, so first up one of the things I have missed the most on this diet has been chocolate. I LOVE chocolate and in fact it was one of my first words, I called it slosh-slosh at the time, because my diction was far from perfect. Now I only call it that if it’s combined with wine 😉
There is very little dairy-free chocolate available and sadly I am not a person who enjoys high cocoa percentages. I know it’s better for you that way, but alas I am a milk or even a white chocolate fan.
Anyway, I searched high and low and happily eventually I found some chocolate that is delicious, better than delicious – orgasmic for the taste-buds! This chocolate isn’t low cost but happily for my waistline I think that’s a good thing as it can only be an occasional treat. The brand is organic, dairy free, gluten free and soya free and is called….drumroll please…..BoojaBooja.
Both the chocolates and the delicious ice-cream is sold in Waitrose and there are also a number of other stockists listed on the BoojaBooja website. Where I live the problem has been that the stock has been quite low but I have also just discovered that you can get them on Amazon and with a Prime membership I don’t even need to pay for postage.
If you get the chance do try them – even if you aren’t eating dairy or gluten free – they are well worth a taste. So far my favourites are the Champagne truffles but I still have plenty more to try, oh lucky me 🙂
